PURPOSE:To prevent excessive copying by generating a sheet-number over signal when the sheets of copies set to a copying machine exceeds those of which an additional device can store. CONSTITUTION:As the power source is put to work with the sorter connected to the copying machine, sorter number signals D0 and D1 are sent from the sorter to coder 7. With ten keys, etc., of the copying machine, sheet-number set signal S1 is inputted to set counter 4 to store the number of copy sheets. Consequently, encoded signal SET C from set counter 4 and coder output signal BIN NO from coder 7 are inputted to discriminating circuit 8 and when signal SET C is greater than signal BIN NO, output ''1'' is generated and inputted to one input of AND circuit 9. When the copying machine is in sort mode, signal S2 has value ''1''. Therefore, sheet number over signal S3 outputted by AND circuit 9 is held at ''1'' and a copy start, for example, is inhibited. Thus, excessive copying can be prevented. |
