PURPOSE:To supply a magnetic fluid rapidly and stably in response to the quantity of consumption at a recording head by a mechanism wherein a continuous beltlike magnet is disposed along a nonmagnetic substance pipe wall, and the magnetic fluid is supplied. CONSTITUTION:A feed member 20 supplying a magnetic fluid 1 to a recording head section 14 from a tank 19 is constituted by a nonmagnetic pipe material 21 in which the magnetic fluid 1 flows and a continuous beltlike magnet 22 arranged along a wall surface in the longitudinal direction, and a coating cover 23 is mounted as necessary. Since the recording head section 14 and the feed member 20 are connected magnetically, magnetism is unbalanced when the magnetic fluid 1 is consumed at the recording head 14, and the magnetic fluid 1 is supplied to the recording head 14 from the feed member 20.
