PURPOSE:To facilitate manual operation and make sure that a form is positioned correctly by weakening the detention force of a stepping motor for paper feed only when paper is manually fed. CONSTITUTION:A manual operating knob 8 and a gear 7 linked to a stepping motor 9 through the intermediary of a gear 10 are provided on a printing form feed drive shaft 1. The stepping motor 1 turns the drive shaft 1 to feed the form, interlocked to a progress in printing action. At the same time, the stepping motor 9, when stationary, maintains a current run under an excitation phase and generates a detention force, interrupting the unnecessary rotation of the drive shaft, with the said detention force. When the form is fed manually, a switch 12 is operated to ease the detention force so that form feed is facilitated. This operation is, for instance, carried out by connecting a variable terminal 12c of the switch 12 to a contact point on the manual side 12a and controlling an output control circuit 41 with the help of CPU25. |
