PURPOSE:To reduce the momentary energy of round-off noise produced in a digital filter, by the operation while shifting the location of the decimal point according to the magnitude of energy of output or input signal. CONSTITUTION:A given greater value to some extent is input to a comparator 41 and a given smaller value is to a comparator 42. A coefficient generation circuit 43 gives 1/2, 2 to multipliers 11, 12 when the output of the comparator 41 is on respectively, and gives coefficient 1/2 to multipliers 13, 14 at one sampling time only. Normally, coefficient 1 is given to the multipliers 11, 12, 13, 14. On the contrary, the circuit 43 gives coefficients 2,1/2 to the multipliers 11, 12 respectively when the output of comparator 42 is on and gives coefficient 2 to the multipliers 13, 14 at one sampling time only. |
