The current invention concerns a circuit for noise elimination and of the type presented in the introduction to claim 1. Such circuits are used in communications receivers in order to prevent emission of detectable noise signals from the receiver's audio circuit in periods where signals are not being received. In order to reach a good sensitivity threshold and to avoid scratching noise upon plugging in of the circuit, the detected noise signal must be filtered in such a way that the pulsation voltage is reduced to an acceptable level. If the filters used up to this point have a relatively large time constant, the circuit's reaction time becomes so great that after-effects or noise occurs once a transmission is complete. If the filter has a relatively small time constant, a satisfactory sensitivity threshold is achieved in return.
