PURPOSE:To omit useless scanning and to increase the number of lines possible for allocation, by taking the scanning period to each line as the period corresponding to the communication speed, in the data exchange in time sharing between a plurality of lines having different communication speed. CONSTITUTION:In a scanning address storage section 21 in the line connection section 130, scanning addresses, e.g., ''0'', ''4'', ''8'', and ''12'' are stored. Further, the number of addresses stored in the scanning address storage section 21 in the connection sections 130-137 is in proportion to the communication speed of the communication line corresponded. The line processing control section 15 outputs the count-up signal in a given period (1/16 of the time required for the reception of one character's share by the connection section for serial data on the communication line in 300 BPS). The agreement detection section 22 in the connection section 130 detects one of the stored contents of the storage section 21 and the address on the bus 12 for the agreement, and the agreement signal is output and the line and the control section 15 are connected. Thus, the period in which the connection section 13 is selected is the time receiving one character's share of the serial data, enabling to avoid uselessness. |
