PURPOSE:To keep the excellent reception quality, by detecting the strength of electric field through sweeping of a plurality of stations and selecting the station with greatest electric field automatically for the reception, in an automatic channel selector used for a car radio receiver. CONSTITUTION:The frequency of a plurality of stations making broadcast with the same content is stored in a storage circuit 8 in advance with the push button operation which is known, at a control section 10. The control section 10 selects and receives the station detection signal showing the largest electric field strength among the station detection signals stored in the circuit 8, when the reproduction of reception signal is made. Further, the channel selection signal corresponding to one station represented with the station detection signal is output from a channel selection signal generator 3 to the channel selection circuit 1, allowing to receive the station having the greatest electric field strength and to be reproduced at a speaker 5. |
