PURPOSE:To prevent the internal short-circuit by treating a nonwaven fabric of a separator with polyvinylalcohol and providing the nonwaven fabric on a negative active material. CONSTITUTION:A nonwoven fabric a (made of vinylon, nylon, or polypopyrene) treated with polyvinylalcohol is provided on a negative active material 4, two cellophane b and a polypropylene microporous film c are placed on it to form a separator 3, and a battery such as silver-zinc battery is formed. The nonwoven fabric may be treated with polyvinylalcohol on only the periphery which touches with a gasket 6. |
