PURPOSE:To provide a roll paper set mechanism which automatically sets a roll paper correctly including a take-up shift with a split, a feature to initialize the position of a take-up shaft, a sensor feature of detect the form and a feature to turn a take-up shaft. CONSTITUTION:Roll paper (b) which is fed out from a roll paper feed means 5 is inserted passing through a split groove a on a take-up shaft 1 now set at ''initialize'' position by the action of a position setting means which returns the take-up shaft 1 to ''initialize'' position. In addition, when the roll paper has come to a certain position after being fed by the roll paper feed mechanism 5, a sensor means 3 to detect the nose of the roll paper (b) senses the roll paper's coming to the certain position. As a result of this detection, a rotary means 4 to turn the take-up shaft 1 works to turn the take-up shaft 1. If the take-up shaft 1 turned, roll paper is fixed by the take-up shaft 1, starting a take-up operation. |
