PURPOSE:To obtain a vertical magnetization system of less magnetic resistance by depositing a magnetic film suited for magnetic recording on a disc produced from a mild magnetic material and flexible nonmagnetic spacers. CONSTITUTION:A disc 1 manufactured from a mild magnetic material such as mild iron is so arranged as to be rotated at a constant speed by being driven froma suitable driving source, and a magnetic recording medium consisting of magnetic tracks 3 formed spirally around a central axial line and spacers isolating the adjacent tracks 3 is secured to the surface of said disc 1. The parts of the tracks 3 are recessed from the spacers 4 and the upper part of the spacers 4 provide a guide for a magnetic stylus 5. In this case, the tracks 3 consist of magnetic films 6, 6' for magnetic recording and the spacers consist of nonmagnetic plates 7, 7' extending higher than said magnetic films. With such constitution, the device and production process suited for vertical magnetic recording system are obtained. |
