PURPOSE:To improve flexibility of communication between data terminal equipments, by simply switching the communication mode, where the response signal is confirmed, and the communication mode, where the response signal is not confirmed, in the same equipment. CONSTITUTION:Transmission output part 1 transmits the data signal and the response signal, and receiving input part 2 receives the data signal and the response signal, and transmission/receiving switching part switches transmission and receiving of signals. When ''response signal existence signal'' indicates that the response signal is absent at the data transmission time, the equipment is considered to have received the response signal even if the response signal from the other party equipment is not detected. Meanwhile, if ''response signal need information'' indicates that the response signal is not required at the receiving data receiving time, the response signal is not transmitted. Data is transmitted and received in the same signal transmission/receiving sequnece as case in which ''response signal existance information'' indicates that the response signal is present and ''response signal need information'' indicates that the response signal is requried. As a result, flexibility of communication between data terminal equipments is improved. |
