PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which consists of removable inside rails, outside rails of the same level as that thereof, a traveling carriage which travels on the inside rails and has a notch for insertion of a rod, and a swiveling carriage for this traveling carriage, and which permits efficient and safe exchanging of split type blast furnace bells. CONSTITUTION:At the blowing down of a blast furnace, rails 1 are carried into the furnace through a manhole 54 and are fixed; at the same time, outside rails 1' are installed at the same level at that of the rails 1. Next, a traveling carriage 2 on which a swiveling carriage 3 is placed on the rails 1' is moved up to the center in the furnace and is stopped in the state that a rod 55 is held inserted into a notch part 20. Next, the carriage 3 is swiveled to right under the front half of a lower hopper 53 to disconnect the hopper 53 from an upper hopper 52, thence this front half is lowered onto the carriage 3 and the carriage 3 is swiveled to the original position. The carriage 2 is moved to the outside of the furnace, the front half of the hopper 53 is hoisted, the empty carriage 2 is moved into the furnace, and thereafter, the rear half of the hopper 53, the front half of a bell 50 and its rear half are carried in this order to the outside of the furnace by the similar procedures. The new bell is installed in the reverse order of the removal. |
