PURPOSE:To improve durability, and the dispersibility of magnetic powder by using a binder contg. a modified polyurethane resin contg. polyurethane molecules having OHs in other than both terminals of the main chain, a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer and low mol.wt. polyol. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape having improved dispersibility of magnetic powder, abrasion resistance, decreased output fluctuations and improved electromagnetic characteristics such as S/N is obtained by using the binder contg. a modified polyurethane resin contg. polyurethane molecules having 1-3 OHs at other than both terminals of the main chain, a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer (contg. a copolymer of >=3 elements added with other monomers such as vinyl alcohol) and polyol having <=10,000mol.wts. contg. OH at both terminals of the main chain. Further, abrasion resistance, heat resistance, solvent resistance, etc. are more improved by adding low mol.wt. polyisocyanate to the binder. |
