The invention relates to steroidspirooxathiazolidines of the general formula (formula) in which R1 is an alkyl radical with 1 to 3 carbon atom(s) or an alkenyl radical with 2 to 4 carbon atoms, and Z is a group which forms with the carbocyclic ring a steroid framework substituted in various ways. The invention also relates to a process for preparing these compounds and to pharmaceutical compositions containing them, especially diuretics.
