Double glazing window conversion - includes strip carrying new window-pane hinged to strip on existing frame

The frame is for converting an existing window-frame into double glazing. It includes a strip (1) having a groove (3) which houses an air-tight seal (37) perpendicular to a slot (2) which receives the edge of the new window-pane (35). One part (9) of a hinge (20) is attached to the existing window-frame. The other part (14) is pref. L-shaped and secured into the channel (4) in the strip (1). The channel (4) is constricted by shoulders (5) and the second part (14) of the hinge (20) is secured using screws (16) passing through a body (17).
