摘要 <p>The engine has an additive injected into the exhaust gases when a rapid acceleration is required upstream of the turbocompressor (1). The additive may comprise air or an air/fuel mixture and it can be injected into the exhaust lines associated with the cylinder head (9). Pref. the injection line (3) is coupled to a reservoir (5) filled under pressure by an air pump (8) operated mechanically or electrically. An electromagnetic valve (7) is positioned between the pump (8) and the reservoir (5), with a second valve (6) between the latter and the injection line (3). The first valve (7) is closed when the reservoir reaches a required pressure and the second valve (6) is controlled by a logic block (12) monitoring the throttle position and the engine speed. The opening interval of the second valve (6) is controlled by a timer incorporated in the logic block (12). The engine has a reduced response time.</p>
