A presser foot(10) for sewing to a garment a slide fastener has two rows of fastener elements(E) mounted on respective carrier tapes. It comprises a foot portion(13) pivotally mounted on a presser bar(14), a gripping member(15,16) mounted on the foot portion coupling with the latter in forming a quiding groove(19,20) for receiving and guiding one of the rows of the tape mounted fastener elements(E), and a spring member(23) secured to the foot portion(13) and engaging with the gripping member(15,16) to normally bias the gripping member(15,16) toward the foot portion(13).
