The motor for converting heat into energy by the change in volume inside a chamber, is subjected to two forces. The first is obtained from a weight (3) suspended on a cable (1) and wound onto a drum (2). The drum is coaxial with a smaller diameter part onto which is wound a second cable (4) connected to a piston. Between the second cable and piston are double linkages each with rollers at the ends of their arms, connecting them and travelling along guide surfaces. The shapes of these surfaces give a variable force on the connecting cable. An alternative method of applying the first force uses a swinging arm controlled by a spring and connected to a second arm attached at the other end to a sliding piston.
|
