发明名称 ARSENIC REMOVAL FROM ELECTROLYTES WITH APPLICATION OF PERIODIC REVERSE CURRENT
摘要 Emission of AsH3 during the electrolytic deposition of As on the cathode from As- and cu- contg. acidic electrolytes can be significantly decreased by using d.c., the polarity of which is periodically reversed. The electrolysis is carried out at 50-75oC using ad. of 100-250 A/m2. The current is conducted for 5-30s in 1 derection, then the direction is reversed for 1-4s. The reverse to forward current time ratio is kept at 0.1-1.0. The electrolysio employs Cu or stainless steel cathodes and nonconsumable Pb anodes. The electrolyte contains Cu 6-12 and As 4-8g/L and the electrolysis is continued until the Cu content decreases to 0.3-1g/L and As, 1-2 g/L.
