<p>The method is for measurement of the level in containers and for determining the quality of the medium and is esp. suitable for use with liquids which cannot be measured or can only be measured with great difficulty using conventional methods. The arrangement is universally applicable, economical, highly reliable in operation and does not require maintenance. The contents of the container are extracted at the measured level and returned at the same, or a different, point. The flow in the extraction tube is measured using a flow and/or pulse sensor. The sensor is calibrated to enable an unambiguous decision to be made as to whether it is measuring a gas or a liquid, and thus whether the liquid is at the monitored level or not.</p> |
