A magnetic inductive flowmeter has a measurement tube carrying a coil and opposed measurement electrodes measuring the voltage induced in the electrically conducting liquid flowing through it. The length of the magnetic field exerts a minimal influence on the measurement which can be performed for liquids whose conductivity varies differently with temp. and flow. Two or more auxiliary electrodes (6,7) are placed before and/or after the plane(3) of the measurement electrodes (4) in the flow direction (2). They are connected to the measurement electrodes via impedance transformers (9) or amplifiers. The impedance transformer (9) passes only part of the electrode voltage to the auxiliary electrodes which are arranged in a plane perpendicular to the direction of flow and symmetrically about the plane (3) of measurement.
|
