Turbocharged IC engine for motor vehicle - has auxiliary hydraulic circuit with throttle for heat exchanger of passenger heating system

The i.c. engine has an auxiliary hydraulic drive (15) for the charger (12) supplied via a pump (5). On the supply side of the pump (5) a proportion of the hydraulic press medium is fed through a throttle (26) via a valve (25) switched in dependence on the engine operating parameters and/or in dependence on the temp. of the automobile passenger space. The throttle (26) is followed by a heat exchanger (28) forming part of the warm air heater for the passenger space. The auxiliary drive circuit has a valve (18) connected in the feed line (7) between the pump (5) and the hydraulic drive (15) which is switched in according to the operating parameters of the i.c. engine. The return line from the hydraulic drive (15) is pref. fed via the heat exchanger (28) for the passenger space heating.
