CONSTITUTION:0.5-30wt% of barium peroxide or barium nitrate or barium hydroxide or their compound is mixed with hexa-boride of rare earth element, then said compound 2 is mixed with printing oil to produce a paste or suspended in a suspension liquid and adhered through print, electrodeposition, dip or spray onto the base metal 1 of cathode. Then it is heated to dissolve the barium compound to produce barium oxide which is used to secure the hexa-boride of rare earth element to the base metal 1.
