摘要 <p>An interferometric arrangement for quantitative evaluation of variations from the shapes of the of optical elements enables full holograms to be formed of strongly refractive and distorting elements over their entire extent. A laser (1) beam is divided into object (5) and reference (6) beams. The element under examination is placed in the object beam before a light sensitive layer (18) on which is a hologram reconstructed from the object beam and obliquely incident reference beam. The wavefront corresp. to a reference object is effectively stored in the hologram for comparison with that of the test object. This is achieved by inserting a diffusing plate (16) in examination. This ensures a uniform distribution of high intensity at the hologram.</p>
