The input head of a measuring or identification system of chemical agents for detecting these agents, has a heated membrane which is directly exposed to the agents which selectively dissolve in the membrane, diffuse on traversing it and exit on the back, in the vapor state. The membrane can be successively rinsed with a gas or conformed as a contact membrane as a first stage of a membrane separator acting as a direct admission system, in the high vacuum of a mass spectrometer. The head provides a detection probe or samples admission system by means of which the organic compounds which are likely to diffuse, for instance also some fighting chemical agents, lying on surfaces or on surface layers may be qualitatively and quantitatively detected, that is detected and identified in a rapid and sensitive enough way during a mobile intervention or in a laboratory. The head has a membrane (2) arranged so as to be as thin as possible while being sufficiently mechanically stable, in order to be directly contacted by contaminated solid surfaces (1). |
