<p>Device for papering walls or ceilings, comprising a carriage (Fig. 4-Fig. 6) formed by two portions, which is applied on the surface to be papered and which is connected to a hangle shaped bar (Fig. 11). Both portions of the carriage are interconnected by a scissors like hinge (Fig. 5) provided with an auxiliary spring and may slide one against the other on a limited distance. The carriage carries mechanisims which allow The orientation of the carriage (Fig. 7) and to guide the carriage (Fig. 9), as well as to apply and spread the glued paper web on the wall. One of the parts of the carriage (Fig. 4) carries at its front end a gripping mechanism for gripping the edge of the paper web. This mechanism is first applied with the paper it holds at the end of the wall surface. The release of a stop separates both parts of the carriage and the end of the paper web is then freed, and the next portion of the paper web is glued. The carriage may then be moved along the wall, thereby sticking the paper web on its entire length. </p> |
