IC engine with radial blade piston oscillating on shaft - has two blades, coplanar with central shaft, in cylindrical casing with radial partitions

The IC engine is based on the established principle of a working chamber with one boundary movable, formed by a radial blade which oscillates on an output shaft. Two such blades (4,5) in the same plane are combined into a swivelling body (F) with a central output shaft (2). The edges of each blade seal against the surface of a semicircular chamber (6,7). The chambers form part of a cylindrical body (1), and are separated by coplanar partitions (8) fitting closely against the central shaft (2). The actual sealing contact may be against the hub portion (3) of the blade assembly.
