PURPOSE:To make it possible to early and readily detect the gas included in the running water passage by a method wherein when a portion of the running water passage is drawn and the vibration generated by the included gas bubbles at the drawn portion is measured to detect the inclusion of a gas, the apparatus therefor is constituted under given conditions. CONSTITUTION:When a portion of the running water passage is drawn and the vibration generated by the included gas bubbles at the drawn portion is measured to detect the inclusion of a gas, according to the results of experiments, the apparatus therefor is constituted under the following conditions: the drawing ratio of the drawn portion is to be below 1/10; the flow velocity at the drawn portion is to be 7-11m; the drawn portion is to be a steel orifice 8 of thickness above 3mm.; vibration absorbing member ducts 7 of length above 500mm. are provided in front and in the rear of the drawn portion; a shut-off valve is provided in one vibration absorbing member duct 7 while a discharge duct 11 is connected to the other vibration absorbing member duct 7 so as to communicate with each other; and a recording indicator 15 is provided to the orifice 8 through a detachable vibration detector 13 and a cable 14. By said constitution, the gas included in the running water passage can be early and readily detected. |
