<p>The ground-heating equipment is particularly for roads, runways etc. having means for supplying heat and water so as to regulate the moisture in the ground. Between the heating and water-supply equipment is a porous stabisation layer (5), acting as a water distributor and heat accumulator. The surface of this layer can have grooves for water distribution, running at right angles to the axis of the road or runway. The water-supply pipes can be embedded in a layer of porous sand or gravel (2,3) above the stabilisation layer, and hot or cold water can be delivered to them.</p> |
