PURPOSE:To reinforce and improve the tempering and shape-correcting function for the steel sheet, by providing special construction to each row of the bridle roll group comprising plural sleeved rolls zigzag arranged in two rows, and by installing said bridle roll group on the feed-in side of the skin pass mill. CONSTITUTION:In such a case that the defective ear wave occurs even if the rolling load of the skin pass mill 1 is adjusted to the best condition, for example, the pressure oil is introduced into the upper rolls 3A of the bridle roll group 3 so as to bulge the sleeve 6 to form a convex and to widen the gap between the sleeve 6 and the arbor 5. Hereby, the elongation at the middle zone of the steel sheet 4 passing the skin pass mill 1 becomes larger than the elongation at both edges; as a result, the steel sheet 4 causes elongation uniformly over all breadth so that the occurrence of defective ear wave is dissolved. On the contrary, in case the defective center buckle occurs in the steel sheet 4, the pressure oil is introduced into the lower rolls 3B in order to bulge both ends of the roll 3B by the pressure oil introduced into the annular gaps 8, 8'; hereby, the defective center buckle to be generated at the middle zone of the steel sheet 4 passing the skin pass mill 1 is dissolved. |
