<p>PURPOSE:To control the tension in high accuracy, by removing an error of detection for the tension, occurring when a traveling sheet shear cuts a traveling sheet, at operating the tension from the data obtained from a filtering process applied to process data of a rolling work. CONSTITUTION:The titled tension controller is provided with a detector for detecting the process data of a rolling mill comprising plural rolling stands, and a filter circuit for filtering the process data detected by above detector; this tension controller operates the interstand tension from the process data filtered by the filter circuit, and controls thus operated interstand tension to the airmed value. At filtering the process data, the accuracy of detection for the tension is increased because the process data is kept at the value of the moment just before shearing the tail end of the sheet by the traveling sheet shear, during a period since the moment just before this shearing action until and moment just after finishing said action.</p> |
