Load indicating arrangement.

A safe load indicating arrangement for cranes and other lifting apparatus. The arrangement comprises a microcomputer which is programmed to perform a functional routine for operating the arrangement, and also calibration test, and diagnostic routines for setting-up the arrangement, testing it and fault-finding. Memories in the computer store crane "personality" information, load table information, and a control program comprising the different routines. The functional routine described calculates safe load with respect to actual hook load. Figures 1, 1b and 12 best illustrate the functional routine for a crane.
