PURPOSE:To obtain a recorded object under a simple method and at low cost without the use of an electronic photographic duplication method by forming a thermal latent image in a heat retaining layer according to an image signal or image information and developing the said thermal latent image with coloring powder containing resin. CONSTITUTION:An image forming body 1 shifts in an arrow direction and a thermal head 4 is arranged in proximity with a heat-retaining layer 3. According to an image signal, a thermoenergy is supplied to the layer 3 from the thermal head 4 and a thermal latent image 5 is formed in the layer 3 in accordance with image information. If a coloring powder 9 containing a resin which softens under the temperature of the thermal latent image 5 is connected with the heat-retaining layer 3 by means of a development roller 8, the coloring powder 9 which touches a part where the thermal latent image 5 is formed, softens and attaches on the layer 3. In the meantime, in a part where the image 5 is not yet formed, the powder 9 does not attach to the layer 3 and is carried away by the roller 8. Thus in the heat-retaining layer 3, the coloring powder settles on the thermal latent part only of the image forming element 1 and does not settle on the other part, allowing the thermal latent image 5 to turn to a visible image. |
