PURPOSE:A composition for the oral cavity, capable of preventing dental caries, having improved feeling of use, stability of the pharmaceutical and good stability of dextranase, and containing a specific sugaralcohol ester of a fatty acid as a main activation agent. CONSTITUTION:A composition for the oral cavity containing dextranase and further a sugaralcohol ester of a fatty acid obtained from lactitol or a sugaralcohol of the formula (n is 1-6), i.e. maltitol, maltotriitol, maltotetraitol, maltopentaitol, maltohexaitol or maltoheptaitol, and the fatty acid or a derivative thereof, e.g. lactitol ester of lauric acid. The sugaralcohol ester of the fatty acid has a good stability and foaming ability without bitterness and is capable of stabilizing the dextranase for a long term. |
