The disclosure deals with an electrode guide assembly which comprises a grooved electrode support member and a retaining cover. The cover includes a channel formed transversely with respect to the gooves in the support member and a deformable element is located in the channel such that when all parts are assembled, the deformable element applies a locating and retaining force upon each electrode.
