The thrust securing device has a securing sleeve (10) which is mounted on the so-called tip end (3) of the one pipe (1) and, at one end, has a stop (14) for supporting a retaining ring (16) which is arranged on the socketed end (4) of the other pipe (2) and encloses the securing sleeve (10). The securing sleeve (10) is firmly clamped on the external circumference of the one pipe (1) by means of a clamp (19). In the clamping region, the securing sleeve (10) is constructed as an adhering grid (13), as a result of which a positive lock is virtually produced between the pipe (1) and the securing sleeve (10). In consequence, the thrust securing device can absorb very large axial forces. <IMAGE>
