INDANAMINE DERIVATIVES

Indanamine derivatives having specific substituents are represented by the following formula: wherein R1 represents a lower alkyl group R2 and R3 each, which may be the same or different, represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alky' group or an acyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms: R4 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group and n represents 0, 1 or 2; and pharmaceutically acceptable non-toxic salts thereof. The indanamine derivatives represented by the formula (I) exhibit excellent analgesic activity with minimized toxicity and are useful for alleviating pains by oral or parenteral administration thereof.
