Lipid lowering and anti-thrombotic 6-arylpyridazin-3-ones and a process for their preparation

Compounds of the formula <IMAGE> wherein R1 is 4-biphenylyl, 4-phenoxyphenyl or 4-biphenylyl or 4-phenoxyphenyl substituted in the 4'-position by F, Cl, Br or I; R2 is H, C1-4-alkyl, hydroxy-C1-4-alkyl or pyridyl; R3 and R6 are each H or alkyl of 1-4 carbon atoms, or together are-(CH2)4-; and R4 and R5 are each H or together are a C-C bond; at least one of the radicals R2, R3 and R6 being other than hydrogen, possess valuable pharmacological properties, e.g., lower lipid levels and are anti-thrombotic.
