PURPOSE:To eliminate a level difference of patterns that is caused by a shift of an original or the like, by distributing a picture information input/output element that gives a lateral scan in moving in the longitudial direction to an original recording paper at the different positions for both the starting and ending points of the scan. CONSTITUTION:In case the original 1 is shifted in the direction of the arrow A and at the same time scanned by an image sensor 2 in the right-angled direction to the shift of the original, the picture information input/output element Pn at the ending point of scan is positioned with a shift secured to the element P1 at the starting point of scan by an amount equivalent to the length l in the direction of the arrow A where the original 1 is shifted. Then e.g. the elements P1-Pn are distributed obliquely with every shift given in the direction of the arrow A by a length of l/(n-1). As a result, the level difference of patterns that is caused by a shift of the original or the recording paper during a scan is prevented. |
