This invention concerns a timber compartment of the type whose bottom end sides consist of support elements suspended in curved fashion in a rack, for example elements in the form of belts, which can be wound off from and wound up on their own drums, and at their free end they are suspended in a detachable manner in a fastening mechanism to enable emptying of the compartment. In this type of timber compartment, certain problems occur after emptying the compartment, such that one can again apply the support element in the identical plane forming the bottom of the compartment. In order to handle these problems, the invention proposes that the fastening mechanism be arranged on a beam 12, which can be moved into a position to make the elements 14, 16, 18 comprising the fastening mechanism automatically take up the support elements 6 being wound up on the drums and anchor them by its fastening element 11, and back into a position forming the bottom of the compartment by the support elements 6. <IMAGE> |
