PURPOSE:To increase the mechanical strength and the utilization rate of a pasted electrode made of cadmium oxide as an active material and a conductive material, by adding a binding agnet made of a given resin, which is not converted into a netlike structure during the time when it is kneaded, to the paste. CONSTITUTION:Cadmium oxide as an active material is added with a conductive material, a viscous agent and an organic solvent to make a paste. The paste is applied to a supporting body, and a pasted cadmium electrode is formed. Here, the paste contains either a fluorine-resin powder or a nonaqueous dispersion of a fluorine-resin powder. As the fluorine-resin powder, 4-fluoroethylene-6-fluoropropylene copolymer resin is preferred because it is not converted into a rubberlike substance. The content of the fluorine-resin powder is preferred to be 0.05-0.5wt% of the former cadmium oxide. |
