The umbrella is designed to emit sound and light when in use, and may also incorporate advertising material. The long handle (1) is made of transparent, rigid material with an elongated hollow inside (2) from which white or coloured light is emitted by a micro lamp (3) and also a micro record or mini cassette inside the grip (4). The outer surface of the handle is pref. darkened to form several transparent sections (7) on which pictures or slogans may be written. A dry battery (5) and electrical connections are inside the grip and a press-button switch protrudes outside the handle.
