PURPOSE:To prepare the titled composition which can be stored for a long time without liquid separation, gives tooth paste paste free of coarse particles and smooth feeling to the mouth, by compounding a fluoride as an effective component and kappa carrageenan and an alginic acid alkali metal salt as binders. CONSTITUTION:A fluoride-containing composition for oral cavity use, composed of (A) a fluoride such as sodium monofluorophosphate, sodium fluoride, hexylamine hydrofluoride, etc. as an effective component and (B) kappa carrageenan and an alginic acid alkali metal salt such as sodium alginate as binders. The weight ratio of (A):(B) is pref. 1:9-9:1, esp. 2:8-5:5. The sum of the kappa carrageenan and the alginic acid alkali metal salt is pref. 0.3-5wt% of the titled composition. The amount of the fluoride is pref. <=about 1,000ppm as fluorine in case of a tooth paste composition. |
