PURPOSE:To increase the mixing and shearing effect of each rotor by specifiying vane length ratio, twist angle and the overlap rate of two vanes, in a kneading device incorporating two-vane rotors. CONSTITUTION:In a closed type kneading device having two-vane rotors for rubber etc., the vanes of the respective rotors are so set at to satisfy the equations I, II, III, IV. (Here, in the expressions H0: the clearance between the rotor and the barrel at the body diameter of the rotor, a: the ratio of length of the vane opening part. V0: the volume of a kneading chamber. BF: the packing rate of material. D: the diameter of the barrel.) Based on these equations, said rotor is so formed as to have 0.6-0.9 vane length ratio to the overall length of the rotor, 10-40 deg. twist angle, 0.2-0.8 overlap rate of two vanes to the overall length of the rotor. Thereby, the mixing effect and shearing effect in the mutual effect of the two rotors in the communicating part are increased and the kneading effect of the entire part of the mixer is increased.
