In this circuit arrangement, a negative inductance is connected in parallel with one winding of a transformer (UE). Due to the resultant greater inductance, much smaller constructional forms of transformers can be used. The negative inductance is generated by means of a coilless negative impedance converter (NIC). In one embodiment, the invention is used in a power-feeding transformer of a subscriber circuit.
