The watercraft is a single- or multi-decker, circular in cross-section and fitted with propulsion- and steering-equipment. The above-water portion of the craft has the form of a solid of revolution or suchlike, resembling a part at least of an upright bottle. Propulsion and steering can be by one or more swivelable propellers or jet thrusters, or a cycloidal propeller, pref. located centrally underneath the craft. Additionally one or more non-powered directionally selective braking devices may be fitted around the periphery for rotating the craft about its axis.
