PURPOSE:To provide an ink collecting gutter apparatus for an ink-jet printer which is provided with specified rollers inside a gutter and which can effectively collect unnecessary jetted ink particles, which are not used for printing. CONSTITUTION:Unnecessary jetted ink particles, which are not used for printing, are captured by a gutter 7 and collected into an ink tank for reusing. In this case, rollers 24 and 25 each having a surface constituted by a moisture absorbing material are provided inside the gutter 7, and upper surface of the roller 25 is rotated in the same direction as the flying direction of the jetted ink particles. Thereby, unnecessary jetted ink particles can be effectively collected without being accompanied by dripping of ink or bubbling. Moreover, generated ink mist can be also effectively collected. |
