MANUFACTURE OF LIGHTWEIGHT PLATEESHAPED MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To efficiently obtain a lightweight plate-shaped material excellent in high- impact strength and compression strength by passing a composite material of a reinforcement and a foaming hardening resin liquid through a molding passage together with laminated substances of highly impregnatable reinforcements impregnated with a hardening resin liquid and synthetic resin films. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcement 2 such as a honeycomb material and a glass roving 3 are supplied with a foaming hardening resin liquid from a discharger 61 to form a composite material together with a glass roving 3'. Highly impregnatable reinforcements 4 and 4' such as glass paper are laminated on synthetic resin films 5 and 5' and impregnated with a hardening resin liquid which hardens in a short period of time from dischargers 62 and 63 to form laminated substances. These are passed through a molding passage 1 so that the highly impregnatable reinforcements 4 and 4' are on the composite material side, to allow the foaming hardening resin liquid to foam and harden as well as the hardening resin liquid to harden. Thereby, a lightweight plate-shaped material having smooth surfaces in which the synthetic resin films and the foam substance have firmly bonded together can be obtained.
