<p>The winch or similar mechanism is controlled by a friction clutch. It includes driving (1) and driven (2) shafts working in a frame and with the friction clutch (8) mounted between them. The clutch control mechanism comprises a member, pref. a shaft, rotating with the driven clutch half, and control members (12,13,14,15) working with this member, so as to generate axial movement and engage the clutch. These are so arranged that rotation of the driven shaft resulting from clutch engagement causes axial movement in the opposite direction and disengages the clutch again.</p> |
