The photo layer applied to a fabric, to give a three-dimensional patterning, is in the form of a fine-foamed fluid which is spread evenly over the material. The evenly-spread foamed liq is exposed to light to give the patterned effect, which is then photographically developed and fixed. A foaming tenside is added to the fluid, which also contains a wetting agent and a stabiliser. The foam is developed to give bubbles with a dia of 0.01-0.5 mm, and to increase the fluid vol by 5-20 times. After the foamed fluid has been applied to the fabric, the foam structure is destroyed and the foam worked into the material. After application, the applied layer is subjected to selective light, in a succession, so that patterned layers are developed within the layer to give the three-dimensional pattern, with a variety of colour layers within the photo fluid cladding. The process gives a simple method for applying an even photo layer to a material.
|
